         When it comes to MAC, there are numerous browsers which allow you to do a lot more than just search the internet. I have seen people who like Safari the best or they love chrome. Some are fans of Mozilla. In the end it is a much personalized decision when it comes to internet browsers. Some people love a browser and others do not.


1. Mozilla Firefox

          The Mozilla Firefox project was created by Dave Hyatt and Blake Ross as an experimental branch of the Mozilla browser.  Firefox 1.0 was released on November 9, 2004, Firefox 1.5 was released on November 29, 2005, and version 2.0 was released on October 24, 2006. Firefox 3.0 was released on June 17, 2008, with version 3.5 and version 3.6 released on June 30, 2009 and January 21, 2010, respectively. Version 4.0 was released on March 22, 2011. Since the version 5.0, a rapid release cycle was put into effect, resulting in a new major version release every six weeks on Tuesday.

2. Safari Web Browser

           Safari is a web browser included with the OS X and iOS operating systems and developed by Apple. First released as a public beta on January 7, 2003, it was officially released with Mac OS X Panther and has since become Apple's default browser on OS X. On iOS it has been the default browser since the first release. Although both versions are based on the WebKit engine, they do not use the same version and many differences exist with respect to graphical user interface (GUI), end-user features and application programming interface (API).

3. Google Chrome

            Google Chrome is a freeware web browser developed by Google. It used the WebKit layout engine until version 27 and, with the exception of its iOS releases, from version 28 and beyond uses the WebKit fork Blink. It was first released as a beta version for Microsoft Windows on September 2, 2008, and as a stable public release on December 11, 2008. As of August 2015, StatCounter estimates that Google Chrome has a 56% worldwide usage share of web browsers as a desktop browser. It is also the most popular browser for smartphones, and combined across all platforms at about 45%. Its success has led to Google expanding the 'Chrome' brand name on various other products such as the Chromecast.

            Maxthon (originally known as MyIE2) is a freeware web browser for Windows, OS X and Linux that is developed in China by the company Maxthon Ltd. It is also available on Windows Phone 8, iOS and Android platforms as Maxthon Mobile. Starting with version 3, Flock was based on Chromium and so used the WebKit rendering engine. Flock was available as a free download, and supported Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and, at one time, Linux as well.
